Artist's Comments

I guess it's finished now. It's taken two months and a half of drawing. Used 6B-9H graphites for the figure, and Prismacolors for the background. Drawn on matboard.

So as I got this idea for a background, I thought "Fading into Antiquity" or "Timeless" would be a great title and theme. And, to make it even better, the tint of the paper I used is Antique White :XD:

I love the effect that my softy style had on this picture :)

And sorry about the stains...I didn't have much time to work on it at home, so I kind of drew at Starbucks and school, among other places...and certain things can happen to a drawing around the presence of other people...and coffee...(The birthmark on her shoulder is actually just a very conveniently placed stain :lol: )

Advanced critique is encouraged and enjoyed :D Please help me grow artistically :)

EDIT: This was the portrait of the day on stars-portraits.com! It was also featured in sheezyart :) Also, it looked hideous in the original size, so I made it 800 pixels wide. I guess grainy paper isn't attractive when it's zoomed in :P

oh my!This is beautiful!Her expression is mezmorizing and the curves are just right^.^ I really can't think of any real critique to give you.You even got her birthmarks look nice and natural in there without sticking out like big black dots.*faves*

Thank you sooo much! The pose is what made me want to draw this picture so much. The funniest thing is those birthmarks are stains on the paper :giggle:

You are REALLY doing well on this!
Emmy is GORGEOUS and you accurately show it!

When I look at it, my eyes seem go to the strand of hair that is going across her ear. Also, I know that her neck is supposed to be arched, something about it seems a little off.

I LOVE her eyes and her hair! AWESOME!

Keep up the GREAT work! :thumbsup:

BTW....I LOVE Phantom of the Opera! ^^
