Drawn for my art class The prompt was: What does college mean to you?

I actually put a lot of thought into this. I didn't want it to just be the cliche, 'college is the scissors taht will cut my strings' thing. My original idea was a bit morbid, but my teacher thought that was too depressing But I tried to slip something else in there, with the strings partivularly...

I really like this. I actually feel like an artist now, and not just a copy machine I've come so far in only a few months; I can draw something completely original, with a concept, without using a single reference. Because really, the only thing I copied here was the scissors, and I actually copied that from life So that doesn't even count.

This may not be as technically appealing as my other (photo referenced!) works, and I'm positive people won't like it as much. I'm pretty sure nobody's going to be reading this, anyway But hell, it makes me feel a whole lot better knowing I can do stuff like this now

ANd, my first series! It's strange, I didn't really care too much about them when I was working on each one individually, but once I was able to put them all together...As a whole, I really, really like it
