FlowerMoon

Drawing for my Foundation Drawing class. Black and white conte on toned paper, a little bigger than 18"x24".

That's Flowerburst there, she's a G1 Sweetheart Sister and my favorite pony (Oh God, how have these things stolen my heart ...) At the bottom's my laptop screen; I put the screen on the ground face-up and turned off all other lights so it'd be nice and dramatic (and the assignment was to do a chiaroscuro drawing with one light source that is a subject in the piece, soooo...kinda required, haha).

Piano music to Moon River's in the back. I am very proud to say that I didn't use a ruler or any kind of straightedge for those stupid lines! Just freehanded and estimated. Very proud, because normally I can't stand to doprecise, exact things like that. This was definitely no exception, but I really, really wanted this to be done right and well.
